How do I dispute a Direct Debit (indemnity)?

If there’s a mistake with your Direct Debit we encourage you to first contact the merchant directly, as they may be able to provide an explanation or solution.


If the merchant is unwilling or unable to help, you can reach out to us via our chat service or by emailing us. We’ll be able to help you further by raising a Direct Debit indemnity.


When contacting Pockit, please ensure to include the following details:


  • The transaction details: date, amount, merchant name

  • The reason for your dispute: for example, incorrect date, incorrect amount etc

  • Supporting evidence for your claim such as the merchant's response to your contact


Please note that a Direct Debit indemnity cannot be raised to resolve contractual disputes.
